Peter Frankis is an Australian-based writer, dividing his time between Canberra and the industrial town Port Kembla south of Sydney. In 2005, his first collection of short stories – Trouble in the Garden – was published by Ginninderra Press and was short-listed for the Queensland Premier’s Steele Rudd award for short-stories and won the 2005 ACT Publishing and Writing Award. In 2007 his second collection — Not a flotation device — was published by Ginninderra Press . This collection won the ACT Writing and Publishing Award 2008.
After a hiatus of a few years, Peter has returned to writing and is currently working on his new collection – Fuse Country. This site features some of his favourite stories, hack poetry, travel comedies and miscellany, all about not taking self too seriously.
